Trauma Therapy

Trauma isn’t always the big, obvious event people picture. Sometimes it’s Big T trauma—experiences that felt deeply unsafe or overwhelming. Other times it’s Little t trauma—the quieter things that still leave a mark, like painful relationships, growing up feeling misunderstood, repeated disappointments, or moments that slowly chipped away at your sense of self. Both can live in your nervous system long after the moment has passed.

In therapy, we start gently “cleaning out the emotional closet.” Think of it a little like the Eminem song “Cleaning Out My Closet” - except instead of shouting it out in a rap, we unpack it in a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to carry it alone anymore. Together we’ll sort through what’s been weighing on you, make sense of the experiences that shaped you, and help your mind and body feel safer again. The goal isn’t to relive everything—it’s to help you release what no longer needs to take up space in your life so you can move forward feeling stronger, clearer, and more like yourself.
